Que Retro Arts is a vibrant creative collective led by artist and curator Janie McClinchie, celebrating the talent, culture, and entrepreneurial spirit of San Antonio’s local art community. Born in Laredo and a longtime San Antonio artist, Janie has spent over a decade uplifting makers through curated markets, cultural events, and community showcases—including founding the city’s Annual Frida Fest and curating for organizations like The Arthritis Association and Basila Frocks Quarterly Art Shows. What began with her own passion for painting and crafting evolved into a thriving co-retail space in the historic Basila Frocks building, where Que Retro Arts brings together local artists, crafters, and cultura-driven creativity under one roof. Rooted in Latino heritage and committed to empowering creators, Que Retro Arts is dedicated to fostering connection, opportunity, and the continued growth of San Antonio’s artistic ecosystem.
